Details: Job Title: Quality Engineering Technician - FAI Location: Dayton, Oh (Hybrid onsite and remote) Area Code: 45434 Pay Rate: $38.00-$42.00 per hour Shift: 1st, 40 hours per week Job Type: Direct, Full Time Duration: 3-6 months with likely extension Overview: We are seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in alignment with AS9102 aerospace quality standards. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in product compliance and documentation within a high-precision manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using AS9102 formats Perform drawing ballooning to support inspection planning Retrieve planning documentation from Oracle/ERP systems Create and compile quality data packages and assist in product measurement and inspection Ensure accurate and complete inspection plans, tools, and methods are in place Collaborate with internal teams and external quality representatives to address quality concerns Lead or participate in quality status updates with sponsors and receiving sites Maintain and deliver weekly progress reports and timelines for completion Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Quality Assurance and First Article Inspections Familiarity with AS9102 compliance Background in the aerospace industry Prior exposure to GE or Boeing FAI processes Working knowledge of ERP systems Do to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required Why Apply?
