JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and refine CNC and/or Laser programs and support tooling for machined and fabricated parts using Unigraphics and CAD.
* Ability to set up and operate CNC and/or Laser equipment, including, but not limited to, mills, lathes, and lasers.
* Read and interpret blueprint, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tool requirement, set-up procedure, control setup, and machining methods and sequences for all machines in department.
* Work with and participate in cross functional teams for continuous improvement, new or revised product launches, and transformation to lean manufacturing projects.
* Work with fixture design.
* Make and incorporate suggestions for changes in dies, fixtures or materials used per documented procedures.
* Train and teach operators within the department.
* Maintain records and revisions for all programs.
* Maintain housekeeping at and around department. Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
* Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
* Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* College degree in related field preferred.
* Turning, milling, and 5 axis experience
* Demonstrated experience writing CNC and/or Laser programs.
* Ability to comprehend blueprints, sketches, diagrams and written or verbal instructions.
* Technical skills in manufacturing processes and method including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
* Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills.
* Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
* Effective communication skills and human relations skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
