SBA Loan Servicing Specialist

North State Bank has an exciting opportunity for an SBA Loan Servicing Specialist in our Loan Operations Department located on our corporate campus in Raleigh, NC. The SBA Loan Servicing Specialist role provides overall support for the set up and maintenance of the SBA loan portfolio and serves as primary loan support to assist Bank staff with loan troubleshooting and problem resolution. This role is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days in office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serves as operational specialist by providing documentation and servicing support for the Bank's SBA Loan portfolio.
• Accurately reviews, reconciles, and submits all Secondary Market SBA 1502 reporting and SBA Remittance.
• Processes and reconciles SBA payments, payoffs, and other loan related transactions.
• Boards all new SBA loans into the core system for servicing. Also books and reconciles Secondary Market loan sales within the core.
• Tracks required collateral and business insurance for SBA portfolio loans.
• Processes and reviews all SBA related modifications, extensions, and other loan maintenance, as required.
• Balances and reconcile accounts assigned.
• Provides general loan support for our SBA team, to include payoff quotes and account maintenance.
• Stays current on SBA Servicing SOP to ensure processes and procedures are updated to reflect any changes.
• Participates in special projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.):

• An associate degree in business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience within a loan operations environment.
• Three or more years of SBA loan servicing, loan accounting and/or commercial loan operations experience.
• Working knowledge of loan documentation, regulatory requirements, with a preference of SBA SOP knowledge.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Excel and Word, thorough background with a core banking system, preferable Jack Henry, and ability to effectively adapt and navigate multiple software's.
