Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is a key contributor within the Supply Chain function at Restaurant Technologies, responsible for day-to-day purchasing and driving strategic sourcing initiatives. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of balancing tactical execution with strategic thinking to optimize procurement operations and supplier relationships.

Travel: up to 20% domestically

Location: Preferred MN

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $110, 000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience and performance. Please note that the base salary will vary based on geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate's experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enforce the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process across all assigned suppliers and product categories.
  • Manage procurement activities including processing purchase orders promptly and accurately to support customer-centric service and timely deliveries related to purchased parts, equipment, and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the performance and quality of purchased materials and services, minimizing total costs while supporting financial objectives, including EBITDA and cash flow.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to foster innovation and support new product development efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends and market developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize supplier partnerships and drive long-term value creation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulations, policies, and procurement guidelines.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and a strategic and analytical mindset while remaining adaptable to tactical needs. Ability to lead and facilitate training sessions and presentations when needed. Success in this role requires strong relationship management skills and a steadfast commitment to operational excellence.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
  • Demonstrated success in driving cost savings and improving supplier performance.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • ERP Systems: Minimum of 3 years' experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or other cloud-based ERP systems
  • High sense of ownership and commitment to performance excellence
  • Organizational Skills - Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple projects efficiently while adhering to deadlines, ensuring seamless transitions between planning and implementation.
  • Communication Skills - Skilled in fostering trust and credibility across all organizational levels, promoting collaboration and transparency.
  • Analytical Thinking - Adept at critically assessing processes and projects, synthesizing insights to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning & Prioritization - Experienced in managing competing priorities, budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis to optimize resource allocation and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Facilitation Expertise - Proficient in leading meetings, training sessions, and presentations to effectively convey key insights and enhance engagement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Education: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
  • Project & Quality Management: Background in Project Management or Quality improvement methodologies
  • OEM & Contract Manufacturing Management: Proven ability to oversee and collaborate with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and contract manufacturers within a source-to-sell environment.
  • Strategic Sourcing Expertise: Extensive experience in sourcing fluid management components and electromechanical assemblies
