Assistant Director, Annual Giving and Volunteer Programs
APPLY Cornell University, a nationally ranked Ivy League institution, is looking for an Assistant Director, Annual Giving Programs and Volunteer Prorgams to join the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business team in the Alumni Affairs & Development division, (AAD) based in Ithaca, NY. The SC Johnson College comprises the university's three accredited business schools: the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. The college delivers 21 undergraduate, graduate, and professional business degree programs creating a collaborative, comprehensive business management program that preserves the excellence of all three schools while uniting the faculty and students. The college consists of roughly 250 faculty, 900 staff, 4,000+ students, and over 48,000 alumni. The Assistant Director will work within the SC Johnson College Annual Giving Program, and with strong collaboration across department leadership, the college development and engagement teams, central AAD staff and Major Gift Officers, and college and unit partners to plan and lead the Johnson School Reunion Class Campaign Program and Graduating Class Gift Campaign. The assistant director manages 6 - 8 Johnson School Reunion Class Campaign Committees each year, which have an emphasis on personal solicitations for outright annual gifts at the $5,000 level and above, along with the Graduating Class Gift Campaign, which provides philanthropy education and emphasizes student participation. Responsibilities include volunteer recruitment, volunteer training, and class communication support, along with class-specific outreach, peer-to-peer fundraising, and engagement efforts. The Assistant Director will also play an important role in data management and analysis, working with the Director of Annual Giving Programs to generate key reports and metrics, analyze results, and respond to opportunities to advance the college and AAD initiatives.
