Job Description:

Ryan Companies is looking for a creative, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking individual who aims for the highest standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will be able to problem solve and design both as part of a collaborative team and independently. Candidates with at least 4 years of experience are most likely to be successful in this position, however those with unique career experience or that display clear potential for the role will be considered.

Ryan Companies uses a unique integrated delivery process that involves architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management and capital markets. Ryan's integrated process requires an individual to be able to work in a proactive and positive manner in tandem with local teams and cross regionally within a national design practice

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Works in tandem with Client, Landscape Architects, Civil Engineers, Architects, Development, Construction and Consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction.
  • Performs tasks with a high level of collaboration and sets an example for others to follow.
  • Establishes and pursues annual goals based on personal, professional and company growth in the industry.
  • Contributes to Ryan culture through participation in office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
  • Directs and mentors junior staff.
  • Responsible for execution of Ryan's yearly review and goal setting process based on personal and professional, development goals.
  • Actively participates in Ryan Companies' and Ryan A+E's 5-year vision/initiatives and 1-year business plans and goals.

Project Delivery:

  • Creates complete and thorough design documents that depict site layouts, amenity plans, grading, stormwater management, surface treatments, planting plans, and utilities.
  • Manages detailed design by Landscape Architects, Landscape Designers and Landscape Interns.
  • Creates preconstruction schedules and leads city entitlement process and other review agencies.
  • Manages consultants such as Landscape Architects, Civil Engineers, Surveyors and Environmental Engineers.
  • Assists with creating proposals and workplan.
  • Participates and can lead design meetings, consultant meetings and project team meetings.
  • Solves problems and applies basic principles of design.
  • Provides guidance on unusual or complex issues in partnership with team.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional Landscape Architecture degree preferred: Bachelor's or Master's.
  • Working through Landscape Architecture licensure process preferred.
  • Relevant professional work experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Strong knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, SketchUp and rendering talents in Enscape, Lumion or Rhino.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Knowledge of vector and raster software (Adobe Suite, GIS systems, Navisworks)
  • SITES/LEED AP

Eligibility:

  • Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

The salary range is $71,200 - $89,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
