DEKA Research & Development is seeking a Software Engineer Co-Opto join our Software team for Fall 2025. This position will give exposure to several different aspects of software development including test automation, hands on trouble shooting, implementation based on software requirements and working on a product that directly improves user's lives. *DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students (must be at least 18 years of age). Applicants must be availablefor a 4-6 monthCo-Op from July/August 2025 to December 2025. How you will make an impact as a Software Engineer Co-Op: Use software engineering knowledge to solve issues found in embedded and test software Improve DevSecOps via automated testing in CI/CD pipelines. Conduct through investigation and code debugging Perform verification and validation activities using automated software testing and test fixtures Support development of software Learn software processes To be successful in this role as a Software Engineer Co-Op, you need the following skills and experience: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent program Must have C++ programming experience Python programming experience a plus Have successfully completed at least one year of programming course(s) Must be a self-starter eager to contribute in a team environment Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be detail oriented About DEKA: One hour from the beach, Boston, and the mountains, the historic Amoskeag Millyard once housed the largest textile mills in the world. We understand that most candidates would like to know if they have a placement as soon as possible, but at DEKA it takes more time than other companies at we review every application that is submitted. A full time student is defined as being enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits per semester at an undergraduate program, or a minimum of 9 credits per semester for a graduate program.
