Pay Range: $19-23 W2 Contract, US Citizens or Persons ONLY. Shift hours are Mon-Thurs 5 AM-3:30 PM EST
Seeking a Sub Assembly and Communication Racks Inspector to ensure the quality of our client's products through visual inspection of in-process and completed subassemblies and communication racks. The ideal candidate will utilize various measuring devices and work from blueprints, diagrams, and customer specifications to accept, reject, or rework defective units. This role requires effective communication with assemblers, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues and may involve performing assembly tasks as needed. Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections of subassemblies and communication racks.
- Utilize measuring devices such as dial indicators and micrometers.
- Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units.
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and IPC manuals.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
- Identify non-conformances in cables per IPC-A-620 standards.
- Communicate effectively and diplomatically with team members, including assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management to resolve quality issues.
- Perform assembly tasks related to assigned inspection areas as needed.
- Proficiently use personal computers for documentation and reporting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Must be able to accommodate shift requirements, Mon-Thurs 5 AM-3:30 PM EST
- Experience in quality inspection, particularly with subassemblies and communication racks.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-620 standards and cable identification.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team player.
- Previous experience with statistical process control is a plus.
- Must take and pass a medical exam as outlined in the supplier guide
- Must be able to read/write English
