Overview

Corporate Banking (CB) is a technology centric business, with an increasing move to real-time processing, an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems and access to supporting data. Joining our team is a unique opportunity to help rebuild the core of some of our most mission critical processing systems from the ground-up. As a Risk Transformation Lead, you will be supporting Corporate Bank Technology Chief Risk Officer and collaborating with senior leaders within the Bank. Your role will be a mix of program management and strategic responsibilities, and you will be responsible for managing regulatory commitments across Corporate Bank technology globally. This will require work with regulatory finding owners across the Bank to understand their remediation plans and identify impacts and dependencies on CB tech.

What You'll Do

  • Build clear interfaces and abstractions, and schemas and models for data storage an access

  • Build HTTP REST services and applications including streaming and producer consumer

  • Write unit, functional and behavior driven development (BDD) based test scenarios

  • Responsible for for their teams' adherence to key design principles and target application architecture in alignment with overall CB F2B architecture

  • Aid in development and growth of the team through code reviews

  • Institute DevOps best practices (continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD), Automation) and work alongside DevOps on deployment automation

How You'll Lead

  • Collaborate and maintain clear and open communication with the team, while mentoring junior engineers, providing insight, and sharing experience with the entire Engineering organization

  • Strong coaching and mentorship to team members

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

  • Experience working with enterprise architecture patterns and solid working knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices

  • Object Oriented Design and Functional programming (Java, Scala)

  • Core Java experience - Data Structures, Algorithms and Design

  • Experience using concurrent programs - multithreading, executors, locks and other techniques

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proven ability to perform 3 level support as the developed component moves to the production

  • Structured approach to problem solving and strong analytical skills

  • Agile delivery knowledge and Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus

  • Effective organizational skills and self-starter

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $203,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
