A Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist plays an essential role in diagnosing and treating heart conditions. We are looking for a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Blue Springs, MO. The successful candidate will assist in cardiac catheterization procedures and interventions, ensuring safe patient care and the smooth operation of the cath lab equipment.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Conduct and assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angioplasty, stent placements, and other cardiac catheterization techniques.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring all vital measures are taken, including sedation protocols and patient comfort measures.
  • Operate and maintain advanced Cath lab equipment, such as fluoroscopic imaging systems, physiological monitors, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Document procedures accurately in electronic health records and compile data for review and quality assurance.
  • Respond promptly to emergent situations, showing proficiency in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) protocols.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • ARRT-R and license as required by State, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required.
  • Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
  • Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
  • BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient computer skills.
