Description

The Facilities & Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day facility related operations including maintaining interior and exterior of all PPMW facilities. Ensures compliance on security related issues, ensuring both staff and visitors are following the established security and facility management policies and procedures.

Requirements

Site Maintenance:

  • Ensures that all PPMW facilities and grounds are maintained in accordance with relevant regulations, agency standards, and fiscal considerations.
  • Supervises the cleaning and maintenance of the building interior, including vacuuming, room set up, trash collection and disposal, minor plumbing repair, light electrical repair or replacement, minor painting, AC Filter changes, flood control, and any other related matters.
  • Supervises maintenance of the building exterior, including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Helps to ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in a safe, operable condition and/ or arrange for replacement.
  • Follows set procedures handed down from Director to ensure timely repairs and /or preventative maintenance on major equipment (e.g. Generator).

Site Safety:

  • Helps to ensure that a high standard of safety is developed, met and maintained at all PPMW facilities.
  • Assists in the organizing and coordination, and execution of emergency drills and alarm test and emergency backup systems. Assist in the provision of related trainings for staff. Follow up on deficiencies and suggested corrective actions.
  • Supervises monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual inspection. May be actively involved in the implementation of risk management objectives and monitoring progress in attaining risk management objectives.
  • Ensures cctv, access control and monitoring are in good working condition.
  • Supervises the access cards and security code distribution to PPMW staff at all facilities.
  • Supervises the non-clinical/non-medical aspect of the employee safety program. Works directly with Director of Facilities and Security to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Works directly with Director of Facilities and Security as a liaison and contact person with the local law enforcement, federal law enforcement on threats and issues related to PPMW & facilities and staff.
  • Assist with internal planning and evaluation and selections of contractors; required for the relocation of the affiliates facilities.
  • Works with/supervises volunteers, interns as appropriate.
  • Complete other assignments as deemed appropriate by the Director of Facilities and Security.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • The Facilities and Security Supervisor directly supervises all internal security staff, contracted security staff, housekeeping, and maintenance staff at all PPMW Facilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; and/or relevant facilities engineering vocational training
  • Knowledge of, and experience with maintenance of both new and older facilities
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, heat and air conditioning, carpentry and general repair skills
  • Four years' experience in building maintenance
  • Must be reliable and dependable
  • Knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices and methods used in a medical facility
  • Principles and practices of emergency preparedness, prevention and facility safety
  • Practices and requirements in contracting with construction trades and maintenance contractors
