Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Systems Engineering and Integration Leader will report to the Recurring Systems Engineering Senior Leader, within the Chief Engineers Office. The systems engineering leader leads a team that is responsible for integration across the launch systems, launch vehicle, and operations.They shall develop a strategy for your team to measure execution effective, execute process changes or continuous improvements items and demonstrate how their team is meeting cost, schedule and technical objectives.

Specific responsibilities include:



  • Develop and maintain a team of systems engineers that are embedded within theteam, driving integration, ownership and execution of systems engineering responsibilities.
  • Responsible for supporting successful execution of program schedules and milestones, while meeting cost objectives.
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineers office, Vehicle and Ground Systems IPTs and Mission Management Integration to ensure that all designs are fully integrated and qualified to meet all system requirements and maintain mission success.
  • Responsible for managing recurring system engineeringscope and coordinates closely across the enterprise to ensure priorities are achieved.
  • Responsible for coordinating technical baseline changes within the launch systems for impacts to ground or airborne activities and support driving integration issues to closure.
  • Drives ownership and execution of systems engineering products, including but not limited to requirements management, causal analysis, risk/issue management and mission readiness process.

Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or univeristy, of equivalent combined experience and education.
  • Experience with complex launch vehicle, missile or space systems with background in systems engineering/integration, design, analysis, and/or test of complex systems.
  • Experience with system engineering development lifecycle and system engineering processes in recurring program environment.
  • Proven Team leadership experience and knowledge ofsystems engineering tools, practices, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive execution of projects supporting enterprise objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in engaging in influencing leadership of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD TS/SCI is required. US Citizenship is required.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Master or higher degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university, of equivalent combined experience and education
  • 2+ years managing people, leading teams and managing projects.
  • Current DoD TS/SCI
  • 10+ years of experience with launch vehicle systems integration, design, analysis, and/or test of complex systems.
  • Experienceworking in production and development life cycles.
  • Experience working with Government and Commercial customers

Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $135,324.00 - $251,316.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.

Additionally, most salaried ULA team members work a "9/80 schedule," meaning they enjoy every other Friday off.
