The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a strong team player, and possesses a solid understanding of electromagnetics and RF circuit design, as outlined below. Job Responsibilities Adapting best MCM design and full module Co-simulation practices Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks in a compact environment Designing Integrated Passive Devices Designing high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense and harmonics Participating and conducting design review meeting Performing lab testing and tuning and using various RF test equipment The circuit blocks involved in a typical product development may include: Power Amplifiers Integrated Passive Devices SAW/BAW Duplexers & High-Q RF Filters Switches Low Noise Amplifiers Matching circuits High-directivity couplers Desired Experience and Skills Hardware Tools Used are: Network Analyzers Spectrum Analyzers Signal Generators Digital Receivers Load-Pull/Tuners RF Probe Stations Required Experience and Skills: BSEE and 5 years' work experience or MS and 3 years' experience or PhD Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook Experiences of EM tools such as HFSS, or Momentum Lab experiences of network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and probe station Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices Knowledge of RF switch design, or power amplifier design, or PA classes, PAE, PA performance Knowledge of communication standards, such as LTE-A, WiFi, and the associated standards requirements on such as sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, ACLR, EVM Preferred Experience and Skills: Experience in ADS, Virtuoso, and Allegro Preferred Skills The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$112,500 -$215,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
