As UHS continues to grow as a leader in Behavioral Health we are looking to add a key member of the Business Development department. The Division Vice President - Military Business Development will lead business development efforts for TRICARE and the Veterans Administration across the Behavioral Health Division.

Develops a national strategy to attract and acquire growth in TRICARE and VA admissions in the U.S. and abroad. Provides direct supervision of Divisional Military Business Development team responsible for direct selling to military installations, VA and Guard/Reserve access points and leadership (in both). Provides management and ownership oversight of the Patriot Support Advisory Board. Manages the contracts, reimbursement, meeting agendas and minutes along with the strategic involvement of the board members in establishing UHS as a thought leader in the BH military space. Manages data to ensure metrics are tracked and achieving the desired results.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Develops and leads the growth strategies for military and VA across the BH Division.
  • Supervises the team of Divisional and Regional Account Managers to develop referral relationships with Active-Duty Service Installations and National Guard and Reserve components both within the United States and overseas.
  • Actively identifies opportunities for new program and service line development.
  • Develops a national plan to expand the VA Referral Account Management concept across the U.S.
  • Collaborates with other critical departments such as Operations, Clinical and Marketing to assist in the growth strategy for the BH Division.
  • Manages all aspects of the Patriot Support Advisory Board including contracting, reimbursement, agenda development and location planning.
  • Develops strategy to leverage the advisory board members expertise to elevate UHS brand as thought leaders in the BH military industry.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and the National Call Center on marketing and advertising campaigns designed to grow (and capture) TRICARE and VA referrals.
  • Works collaboratively with operations - VPs and CEOs to achieve goals.
    Develops and conducts routine training to ensure intake, operations, business development, utilization management and business office staff are fully informed about important processes, procedures and legislative changes impacting TRICARE and VA members.
  • Represents Patriot Support Programs via participation in National conferences and other industry meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree is preferred
  • A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
  • An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
  • Military Service background 15 years of active-duty military service to be considered in lieu of education requirement.
  • 10+ years experience with healthcare business development focused on Military TRICARE and VA Administration.

Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Independent, motivated and results oriented.

Travel Requirements: 50%
