Summary

Provide leadership to the Test Directors team in support of the Systems Engineering as well as the Program and Project IPTs. This leader will be responsible for providing Operational Military experience in the design, development, production, test, and acceptance of simulation training devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising all Test Director Team activities

  • Direct responsibility for the work produced by group

  • Assigns tasks to group and monitors completion utilizing the design approach as applicable

  • Strong desire to improve the quality of work, processes and procedures

  • Cost Accounting Management for the group

  • Provide members of group with leadership, coordination and direction

  • Supports Manager in interpreting and enforcing overall company policies and goals, and defining and enforcing standards within the team

  • Maintain effective communications with other groups

  • Support to marketing for prospective projects

  • Operational input during the proposal stage for prospective projects

  • Assist in the development of Training Needs and Training Tasks Analyses for prospective and contracted projects

  • Establish and develop training for the team

  • Support of R&D activities

  • Ensure the team is appropriately staffed to support our current and future programs

  • Based on staffing levels, this group leader will fill in as the assigned Training Solutions Expert on some programs to cover staffing shortages.

  • Participate in new business efforts, acting as operational subject matter expert when called upon.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical equivalent, and 6+ years as pilot in command of Military Aircraft and/or experience as a Military Aircraft Instructor Pilot.

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. All communications must be in English.

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management, program team members, customers and qualification agency representatives.

  • Eligible for a US DoD Security Clearance

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

Work sometimes performed in an environment where irritants such as noise, temperature, and lighting variations may exist, but there is little chance of injury, accident, or occupational health problems. Moderate to high levels of stress are sometimes experienced with this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to travel both domestic and internationally.

  • Must be familiar with and be able to work on simulation training devices, including using access stairs and ladders.

Must be able to work overtime and off-shift.
