SUMMARY

Under management direction, recommends strategies to achieve marketing goals and assists with the development of marketing action plans for various business lines. Coordinates marketing activities for assigned business lines, acts as liaison between business lines, digital marketing department and in-house and agency creative department. Ensures timely production and distribution of advertising and collateral materials; tracks costs to budget and works with management to resolve discrepancies. Analyzes, measures and evaluates marketing programs and recommends mid-course corrections if warranted. Delivers top quality service during all business interactions and deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Opens and tracks status of all marketing jobs; administers approved advertising and collateral materials, ensuring timely and cost-conscious project completion.

* Effectively leads projects from concept to completion ensuring timely completion and meeting project deadlines within established constraints, such as time, cost and quality standards.

* Influences the direction of content development, providing creative recommendations and direction, as needed.

* Develops all marketing and communications with manager, account teams and clients for vision/direction on all marketing communications and special projects.

* Creates, designs, prints and distributes internal/Sales communication materials including sales brochures, one pagers, ads and presentations.

* Coordinates marketing/communication efforts, working closely with management and business lines to develop schedules and budgets.

* Coordinates client conference participation including planning, development of materials and enrollment.

* Works with digital Marketing and Marketing Management to develop effective research, creative, media and on-line advertising marketing plans, direct mail programs and targeted e-mail blasts.

* Collaborates with Corporate Marketing department to ensure Alliant maintains our brand integrity at the Specialty level.

* Creates synergy between promotion, business cycle and sales goals; tracks year-to-date marketing expenses, ensuring balance between budgeted and actual expenditures.

* Coordinates external advertising efforts thru management and marketing services, ensuring projects are on time and within budget; exchanges information and resolve discrepancies.

* Works with management to adjust advertising expense allocation as needs change; coordinates ad production, including obtaining input and getting final approval.

* Conducts research projects as appropriate for business lines; introduces new marketing strategic and tactical roll outs and marketing enhancements.

* Ensures that success metrics are implemented for both internal and external marketing products in order to meet business line expectations for creative quality, timeliness and cost.

* Maintains image library (Seismic), supply of brochures, fliers and notebooks for Marketing.

* Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Graphics Design, Communication Arts, Fine Arts or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two (2) or more years of experience with marketing, social media, copywriting, proofing and graphic design.

SKILLS

Strong understanding of image creation, design layout, type and color

Knowledge of marketing and social media communications, copywriting, proofing and graphic design principles

Proficient in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint

Proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize to meet very tight turnaround times on multiple projects

Ability to follow established style guides and directions from internal leads and clients

Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to completion and meet project deadlines

Ability to identify problems and develop strategic solutions

Ability to remain self-motivated, focused, and solution-oriented in an evolving environment

Ability to work successfully as a member of a team

Ability to project a professional image in action and appearance with all stakeholders
