Your Opportunity

on-siteMust be willing to work onsite in Indiapolis, IN

You take care of software design and development, that is, leading technical implementation efforts, including configuration of SaaS solutions, API integrations, CI/CD, and operational team support. And collaborating with application vendors, IT architects, SMEs, and development team members to design and implement application solutions. As well as the following:

  • Providing technical thought leadership for complex projects and fostering innovation within the team.
  • You mentor and guide junior technical team members and develop enterprise-wide information systems in coordination with business analysts.

  • You take charge of software design and development, including analyzing the risk related to a solution and providing a deployment impact assessment.

  • You ensure design documentation and develop system design specifications according to internal and external standards.

  • You support test execution, data migration, and infrastructure qualification for the production environments.

  • You work with the teams to resolve incidents, perform periodic reviews, maintain system documentation, and ensure compliance with IT processes and SLAs.

  • You provide technical leadership and hands-on support for the Windchill PLM system, ensuring its stability, integration, and effective operation as a secondary responsibility.

  • Leveraging your on-site presence in Indianapolis to foster close collaboration with the significant local eLN user community, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with site-specific needs.

Who You Are

You bring a strong foundation in agile methodologies, deep technical expertise, and the ability to effectively lead and support team members.

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science/Technology, or a related field. (required)
  • You have 5 years of experience designing/implementing technology solutions for mission-critical systems and 5 years of experience with software development (required).
  • You have deep experience designing, implementing, and operating technology solutions for mission-critical systems, ideally including experience supporting research laboratory execution informatics (eLN or similar).

  • You have strong experience with SaaS solutions and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

  • You are familiar with GxP-relevant systems and possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and trust zones.

  • You have proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting, Perl) and a working knowledge of databases.

  • You demonstrate proven leadership experience, managing technical efforts within cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills:

  • You possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills and are fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • You are a strong team player with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working effectively with local and global teams.

  • You have the ability to work flexible hours to facilitate virtual meetings for globally dispersed teams when necessary.

  • You have a solid understanding of the life sciences (pharma, diagnostics, drug discovery) business context.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN, is between $102,800 and $190,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
