Job Description Summary

The Westrick Lab is seeking a professional research assistant starting fall 2025. This position is a combination of lab management and animal care. Our lab uses charismatic frogs as a model system to understand how hormones and the brain produce behavior and how behaviors evolve. The animals we work with are central to all our research, and a key component of the position will be oversight of and direct contribution to animal care. Utmost commitment to humane, ethical treatment of animals and compliance with all animal protocols is expected. Because we maintain a PI-managed animal facility, animal care will include some non-standard working hours (i.e., weekends and holidays). The candidate is expected to work independently to trouble-shoot and problem solve.

The position will be for 1-2 years, renewed annually, with the possibility of extension.

To apply, please submit a cover letter and CV. The cover letter should be a max of one page, discussing your previous experience, current interests/goals, and motivation for applying.
