Are you an experienced purchasing professional looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Staffmark is hiring a Purchasing Specialist in Jacksonville, AR. Join a growing company where your skills and initiative will be valued and where you can make a real impact on procurement and cost strategy.

Pay: $35,000 - $45,000 annually (based on experience) | Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

What You'll Do:



  • Translate company purchasing policies into clear, achievable action plans
  • Manage cost forecasting, cost reduction, and cost containment initiatives
  • Evaluate supplier reliability and build strong vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with Engineering on product/material demonstrations
  • Work closely with the Materials Manager, Maintenance, General Manager, and Direct Buyer to gather and compare vendor bids
  • Handle purchase order adjustments, cancellations, and claims
  • Generate SAP debit memos for inventory removals or rejected items
  • Assist with vendor audits and ongoing supplier performance reviews
  • Secure required approvals for purchase orders exceeding $1,000



What We're Looking For:



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (non-entry level)
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and drive cost-saving initiatives
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments
