International Programs Job Description
MU International Programs and the Provost's Division seek a detail oriented, technically proficient SEVIS compliance assistant to support International Student and Scholar Services. We provide immigration compliance support and guidance to over 1900 international students and scholars each year. We're looking for someone who will use data management, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support Department of Homeland Security regulatory compliance and reporting, internal systems management, and support to students and scholars. The position may also have the opportunity to engage with international students through workshops, events, and advising opportunities. * Serves as an administrative Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) to review, prepare Form I-20s and DS-2019s. Also, reviews SEVIS RTI data for specific reporting requirements, e.g. OPT STEM reporting. OPT/STEM OPT address update, Program change update. * Reviews and enters student/scholar data using myZou, Terra Dotta, SEVIS, MS Office Suites etc. * Use data management skills to help ensure accurate, reliable and secure SEVIS data management. * Assist to perform SEVIS compliance regulatory activities, such as monitoring international students' enrollment, registration, SEVIS batch processing, and employment reporting etc. * Assist with data cleaning, data entry, data correction projects related to SEVIS recordkeeping and reporting. * Assist to analyze data, report regulatory trends, and provide information for government reports and surveys from external agencies/organizations. * Assist student check-in process during the international student orientation. Supervise student workers with routine duties, such as filing, labeling, etc. * Attends training sessions on F-1 and J-1 regulations, particularly related to record keeping and reporting, adjust practices and routines accordingly to ensure compliance. * Performs various administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor. * Assist other team members in the ISSS as needed. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, evenings or weekends may be necessary for events Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident in order to serve as a Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer Anticipated Hiring Range
