Sr Managing Director - PCM

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

It is the responsibility of the Sr Managing Director - PCM to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. In conjunction with Wealth leadership, the Sr Managing Director of Private Capital Management (PCM) is responsible for helping lead the firm's overall strategy, vision, and growth. The Sr Managing Director - PCM will help represent the firm's wealth management offering in specifically defined markets to Bank employees, Schwab Advisor Network Financial Consultants and PCM clients and prospective clients. The Senior Managing Director is responsible for helping to manage the firm, helping set overall Wealth strategy, and for executing the marketing and sales strategy in defined markets to achieve the overall goals of the firm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leadership:

• Highly visible senior leader responsible for helping developing vision, mission, values, and creating alignment with the culture of Bank and Wealth overall.

• Work with overall Wealth leadership to determines the offerings and deliverables of the firm.

• Ensure firm is delivering exceptional service to clients, while supporting Advisors in the development and execution of their business plans, identifying new business opportunities, and overseeing client retention and growth.

• Ensure risk management standards, policies and procedures.

• Liaison between the firm and other Wealth and Bank leadership.

Management:

• Manage and grow Private Capital Management with a focus on the Wealth Advisor experience, client experience, AUM and Revenue growth, and process efficiencies and improvements.

• Establishes organization design and clear roles and responsibilities for each team member.

• Help set and manage the firm's budget in concert with Wealth leadership.

• Work with the firm's Chief Compliance Officer to ensure firm is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Responsible for staffing, training and development and performance management of employees under their management.

• Ability to travel as needed to meet with Bank and PCM employees, clients and prospective clients and prospective team members (recruiting).

Clients:

May have responsibility for maintaining a book of firm client assets which include retaining and growing relationships, and as appropriate, sourcing new client opportunities, and growing the book of business through new client acquisition.

COMPETENCIES

• Demonstrated leadership and management experience in the financial services industry

• In depth knowledge of the investment management industry with an emphasis on wealth management

• Strong understanding of RIA compliance rules and regulations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field required.Master's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

• Experience: 15+ years of experience in asset manager, RIA, fund company or broker-dealer. 5+ years of experience leading an investment firm, managing operations, compliance, advisors, and/or an investment committee.

• Certifications/Specific Knowledge: CFA or CFP preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is located in a private office.

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered.
