This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, and Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Job Description The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for the precise cutting, bending, and assembling of sheet metal components to create parts and assemblies for aerospace applications. This role requires a high level of skill in using various fabrication tools and techniques to ensure the production of high-quality, reliable components. Key responsibilities include fabrication of sheet metal using tools such as brakes, shears, and forming machines; assembly of fabricated parts into completed assemblies following detailed blueprints and specifications; inspection of finished products for quality and adherence to specifications, making necessary adjustments; maintenance and cleaning of fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance; and recording of fabrication processes and any deviations from standard procedures. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical certification in sheet metal fabrication being a plus, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in an aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using fabrication tools and machinery, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, and a strong understanding of materials and their properties are essential. Attention to detail, precision, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial soft skills. OSHA safety training and any relevant fabrication certifications are preferred. The work environment is on-site at the Blue Origin manufacturing facility, with standard shifts and potential for overtime as needed. The Vacuum Heat Treat Technician is a critical role within Blue Origin's manufacturing and production team. This position requires an individual with specialized knowledge and hands-on experience in vacuum heat treatment processes. The technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum heat treatment equipment, ensuring precise temperature control and uniform heating across various materials. Key duties include loading and unloading components, monitoring treatment cycles, and performing routine maintenance to ensure equipment efficiency and safety. The technician must possess strong analytical skills to interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and maintain detailed records of all processes. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with engineers and other technicians to optimize heat treatment procedures and enhance product quality. Adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards is paramount, ensuring a secure working environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, with certifications in heat treatment processes and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Key Responsibilities
