Job Summary
The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for a TES Administrative Support Associate - Academic in the Pharmacy located inside Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital . This individual will be the initial point of contact for the pharmacy and provide assistance to pharmacists, technicians, and clients.

Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions

  • Print, record, and file daily Rx totals
  • Answer multi-line phone system
  • Direct calls to appropriate people, places, and services
  • Record data into Excel spreadsheets
  • Cancel and credit Rx and/or send to business office
  • Create labels for medication vials
  • Accept payments for mailouts
  • Scanning documents
  • Keeping accurate calendar of daily fills
  • Manage Teams channels

Minimum Qualifications
Level I: High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience in clerical and administrative support services. Degrees may substitute for years of experience.

Level II: High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience in clerical and administrative support services. Degrees may substitute for years of experience.
Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience with medical terminology
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Organized, able to multi-task, and have attention to detail
  • Prior experience working with clients
