This role will develop and maintain relationships with health care providers in large public hospitals and academic institutions to improve relationships and to increase understanding and use of products and services.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for large academic centers and other areas agreed to by management.
  • Utilize best practices in strategic account management, serving as an example for the sales team in maintaining and fostering relationships. This includes developing Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) as strong advocates for Prolacta and further development of programs for Neonatal/Perinatal Fellows to deliver information on Prolacta Bioscience products.
  • Relies on experience in the infant nutritional market, relationships and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Keep up with industry trends, changing market regulations and healthcare policy within defined customer segment.
  • Interface with medical and marketing teams to develop and administer educational offerings for targeted customer base, includes management of speaker program, and support of the annual KOL Program and other symposia.
  • Establish, develop and maintain professional relationships with KOL's within academic institutions; primarily division chiefs, fellowship directors and fellows for Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Surgery and Neonatal/Perinatal programs with consideration of expanding as needed.
  • Mentor and develop new speakers to function on local, regional, national and international level
  • Collaborate with Government Affairs and Advocacy in strategic planning and KOL engagement to positively impact state and federal legislation, FDA regulation, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • Represent Prolacta at national and regional academic conferences such as PAS, AAP, Hot Topics, and regional SPR meetings to engage KOLs and fellows.
  • Work with key conference organizers to help shape programs to include nutrition on exclusive human milk diet
  • Develop and lead new initiatives and educational programs for fellows to enhance education related to human milk and EHMD, including workshops, hands-on training, and engagement programs specifically targeted for Pediatric GI, Cardiology, Surgeons, Neonatology and others as needed.
  • Coordinates appropriate resources to execute the strategic account plan in accounts assigned, including assigning roles, expectations, responsibilities and timelines, engage members of the team through ongoing communication, tactical planning and execution.
  • Leverage strong relationship management skills to build and nurture partnerships with KOLs and influencers. Acts as internal advocate for KOLs, cultivates internal relationships and leverages to drive business objectives.
  • Work to locate, develop and maintain Centers of Excellence (COE). Identify and implement Fellows Education program opportunities nationally.
  • Collaborate with key academic contacts at designated Universities to ensure successful annual Fellows Education Program and identify additional COE areas to expand for greater reach.
  • Identify and implement measurable tool to demonstrate impact of past and ongoing academic educational programs and/or financial support


  • Facilitate regular ongoing meetings with Region Managers to discuss initiatives from marketing and DHE Team to assure alignment and dissemination of strategic insights to sales.


  • Develop relationships with Pediatric Surgery and Cardiology chairs and fellowship coordinators



What you bring to the role



  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in hospital sales at a regional level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
