Associate Creator
Are you passionate about creating food solutions that bring fruit and vegetable applications to life? We're looking for an Associate Creator to join our Health and Functional Business Unit, where you'll collaborate on the latest product development that meets customer needs and supports strategic goals. You'll work hands-on in both lab and pilot plant settings, formulating, testing, and commercializing new products. You will Report to: Regional Technical Innovation Manager, Fruit and Vegetables
Travel: Up to 25%
You Will:
* Create new food product concepts or modify existing formulas to meet customer requirements, internal R&D goals, and new ideas goals.
* Prepare and deliver product samples for customer briefs, technical applications, performance testing, quality control standards, and physical evaluations.
* Conduct product testing and develop tailored processing methods in both laboratory and Pilot Plant settings.
* Apply scientific methodologies to produce insights and innovations that align with strategic opportunities.
* Oversee the progression of new products from development through commercialization.
* Source new ingredients and evaluate them for performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure ingredient quality and consistency.
* Manage all technical documentation and communication related to new product development.
* Perform economic assessments of ingredients, suppliers, and formulations to support decisions.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment aligned with EH&S policies and promote compliance among peers.
* Contribute to other innovation and development responsibilities.
Your Professional Profile Includes:
* A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in a food applications laboratory, production environment, or similar R&D setting.
* Excellent tasting skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate flavor profiles.
* Foundational understanding of ingredients, formulation science, and technical processes; curiosity and willingness to deepen this expertise.
* Orientation focused on delivering practical, effective solutions.
* Willingness to be hands-on in lab and pilot environments and interface directly with customers.
The established salary range for this position is $67,000k - 80,000k annually. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications.
