Nokia of America Corporation, IP Resident Engineer (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX.
- Develop network architecture and configure IP/MPLS networking protocols to support Nokia IP Networks.
- Assist with network strategy, design and engineering, and implementation and migration planning.
- Work with customers, solutions and marketing groups and systems engineering to scope and deliver professional service projects.
- Produce network implementation and migration plans.
- Configure equipment and test and support networks in various stages of deployment.
- Assist with service design and proof of concept, testing, and optimization services.
- Audit and assess network against customer service requirements and best practices.
- Perform customer training and advice and on-site support. #LI-DNI
Domestic travel required up to 25%. Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following:
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot IP/MPLS networks;
- IP routing protocols, including Intermediate System - Intermediate System (IS-IS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP);
- Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) protocols, including LDP and RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS;
- QoS implementation and testing;
- Testing tools, including Spirent, IXIA, Iperf, and JDSU;
- and Troubleshoot, monitor, and configure IP networking protocols.
