Marketing Administrator - Aerospace Aftermarket Repair Station

Plans, coordinates and prepares proposals of moderate scope and complexity in response to customers' requests. Participates as team member in support of major marketing or complex proposal efforts and/or post-sales marketing support of an Aerospace Aftermarket Repair Station.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes customers' requests to determine the nature of the request; the format for the response which will best meet the request requirements and represent the company; and the type and level of internal resources required to effectively respond to the request.2.
  • Coordinates development and compilation of information and correspondence from functional departments as required to effectively respond to the customer's request. Reviews and edits response to ensure accuracy (e.g. content and writing style/clarity), and adherence to customers' request format requirements.
  • Researches and analyzes historical data to support the division's response to the customer's request. May research, interpret, and resolve problems involving moderately complex technical data and respond to customer inquiries through correspondence or on-site visits.
  • Interfaces with customer representatives during fact-finding to gather or provide information on pricing and/or to develop pricing justification.
  • Coordinates efforts of the proposal response team, or segments of a major team, that typically includes cross-functional representation. May make general and specific assignments for research, analysis, review, writing, graphics, video production, etc. Monitors the progress of the team to ensure on-schedule performance. Identifies and advises management of resources required to meet proposal response deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Provides contract information by researching data, answering questions and requests. Resolves contract discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • May develop and conduct product presentations for seminars, technical symposiums, trade shows, and at customer facilities.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement principles and techniques to provide the greatest value to customers, employees and the company.
  • Maintains working knowledge of division, group and corporate philosophies, department functions and organization, and critical customer issues regarding the performance of those functions. Maintains customer confidence and develops positive customer relationships to promote and expand business opportunities.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical or trade publications, establishing industry networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
  • Collects, analyzes, organizes, and maintains data and functional descriptions for use in regular and special marketing reports, analyses, and proposals, to include customer programs, schedules, and organizational structure
  • Complies with federal, state, and aerospace industry regulations; ensures adherence to requirements and advises management on needed actions. Shares specialized knowledge with others. Represents company on specific projects. Mentors' new employees. Contributes to team effort

Qualifications

  • Aftermarket/repair station experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in Business Administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of increasingly responsible related marketing or proposal management experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies related to proposal response and management.
  • Knowledge of related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply continuous improvement principles and techniques. Ability to work on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of the situation or data requires thorough identification of factors and analysis of impact, work within general work objectives regarding projects and team goals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and recommend changes to procedures. Proficiency using business software applications (e.g. Databases, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Ability to respond to significant inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to write proposals that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal-setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to operate a computer and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, Massachusetts, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $77,968.80-$118,094
