Senior Inventory Clerk needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work in Clifton, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Shift: 3PM-11PM

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Maintains records of received goods, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Perform picking and kitting per parts list. Verify all related documentation for accuracy and set-up kit for delivery to manufacturing.
  • Perform receiving by verifying parts against receiving manifest for accuracy and quantity.
  • Perform Put-away of material received ensuring all transactions are complete.
  • Execute requisitions for items in stockroom, secure correct materials, and issues to requesting department.
  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile counts utilizing various applications and systems.
  • Perform weekly purge of expendables in accordance with provided shelf life procedure and tracking sheets.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Good basic computer skills
  • Must be US citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of MRP systems

Employment Pre-requisites

The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: Successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
