JOB MISSION: Accountable for driving process improvements within the Global Logistics and Customs Team, while exemplifying organizational values and demonstrating leadership competencies to foster team growth and operational excellence whilst maintaining New Balance key values. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assess and Analyze: Conduct thorough analyses of current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas requiring improvement.
- Strategize and Implement: Develop, deploy, and manage process improvement and change management strategies to drive operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
- Plan and Evaluate: Design strategic plans to enhance processes, including conducting cost-benefit analyses to support improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Initiate and Monitor: Execute process improvement projects, ensuring successful implementation and continuous monitoring to assess their effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate and Understand Needs: Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather insights into their processes, challenges, and requirements for improvement.
- Analyze Performance: Use statistical analysis and analytical tools to assess process performance, providing data-driven insights for decision-making and further optimization.
- Train and Educate: Lead training sessions and workshops to ensure all relevant staff are equipped with the knowledge and tools to implement and sustain process improvements.
- Document and Communicate: Record and communicate changes to processes, ensuring transparency and that all relevant parties are kept informed of updates.
- Monitor and Report: Track the outcomes of implemented improvements, providing regular reports on the benefits and impact to stakeholders and leadership.
- Lead Teams: Spearhead cross-functional project teams to achieve identified process improvement goals, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and timelines.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks within projects, proactively developing and executing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to business operations.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- Proven experience as a Process Improvement Manager or similar role OR 5+ related experience, BA/BS preferred in a logistics related field - Certification in Project Management and knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen is an advantage.
- Proven track record in process improvement management and experience in developing and overseeing operational plans.
- Systems orientated, proactive, detail-oriented; ability to handle multiple priorities is essential.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Experience with data analysis tools and statistical software an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactive problem identification, research, and resolution.
- Dynamic communicator. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; organizational skills to manage products in a team-oriented environment.
- Sit/stand and work on a computer for long periods of time; review multiple computer monitors at one time, continuously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Occasional Domestic and International travel may be required.
