Summary:

Responsible for maintaining relationships with, and processing of customer orders for international customers and processing required import and/or export documents to ensure customer receipt of goods. Must coordinate, document, freight forward and expedite finished goods and materials to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements and meet customer demand. Coordinates imports and exports in a timely accurate fashion that meets all regulatory requirements. Assists with training junior administrators. Accurately enters data into computer for order processing and maintains paper and electronic records.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates imports from and exports to suppliers and customers.
  • Works closely with import brokers and Program Management to ensure suppliers and customers follow Telephonics import instructions
  • In concert with the Legal Department, identifies imports and exports as Licensable, No License Required or ITAR.
  • Coordinates U.S. Customs clearance with import broker.
  • Verifies Customs' values, tariff duty rates and country of manufacture.
  • Maintains both electronic and paper filing system in accordance with U.S. Customs and Telephonics' requirements
  • Coordinates efforts with suppliers, customers, brokers, U.S. Customs and Telephonics personnel including Legal, Program Management, DCMA and Accounts Payable.
  • Assists in assigning Harmonized Tariff Schedule to imports and Harmonized Schedule B numbers to exports.
  • Provides copies of all import freight bills, commercial invoice and Customs forms to Accounts Payable.
  • Generates required export paperwork including commercial invoices, shipper's export declarations and letters of instructions.
  • Files and maintains updated records of all State Department Licenses.
  • Reads and understands Letters of Credits and generates the required documentation per the Letter of Credit for export shipments.
  • Creates Packing Slips for both Domestic and International shipments.
  • Review contracts necessary for the shipment of hardware.
  • Generate and understanding of government forms - DD250, DD1149 and DD1348.
  • Generate and understanding of FAA and 8130 documents.
  • Assists in training junior staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college
  • 8 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Understanding of Import & Export operations and functions
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Customs Regulations, U.S. Tariff Schedules (Harmonized Code) including chapter/legal notes, Explanatory Notes and General Rules of Interpretation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • PC Software Knowledge and excellent data entry skills

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$45,236 - $71,502

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
