Job Summary

As an Editorial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in translating our complex research into compelling and impactful thought leadership content. You will work closely with our external research agency, internal researchers and approvers, and subject matter experts to craft engaging narratives articles blog posts white papers presentations and other materials.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of various thought leadership content formats including articles blog posts white papers presentations case studies and social media content based on proprietary Google research relevant to Google Cloud Learning Services.

Be the main point of contact on this project for our 3 agency contacts (researcher writer designer) and make sure we hit their deadlines and earn internal alignment on their produced work etc.

Draft, edit and proofread content to ensure clarity accuracy grammatical correctness and adherence to the brand voice and tone.

Support the research process by gathering information synthesizing complex data and earning key approvals internal e.g. from the claim's council.

Ensure all content consistently reflects Google Clouds established brand voice tone and messaging guidelines.

Work closely with researcher's subject matter expert's designers and potentially marketing teams to ensure content is accurate engaging and aligned with project objectives.

Assist in managing editorial calendars and tracking project timelines for thought leadership deliverables.

Contribute to the optimization of content for various platforms and audiences relevant to Google Cloud.

Remain current on industry trends and best practices in thought leadership and learning within the cloud ecosystem and making sure we aren't producing redundant research in the context of the industry and our competitors.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English Journalism Communications Education Learning Sciences or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an editorial assistant role or similar with a focus on content development and editing.

Exceptional English writing editing and proofreading skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrated experience in understanding and applying brand voice and tone guidelines consistently across various content formats.

Experience in translating complex information and research findings into clear concise and engaging content for diverse audiences.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple- tasks and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs Slides Sheets).

Experience with writing research claims short, synthesized statistics and earning approval on those claims for use in sales marketing and more.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing thought leadership content for large well-known brands ideally within the technology or cloud computing sector.

Familiarity with the learning sciences educational technology or corporate learning and development within a cloud environment.

Experience working with research-based content or academic publications.

Experience with content management systems (CMS).

Understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies relevant to cloud-related topics.

Experience creating content for various digital platforms (e.g. blogs social media LinkedIn) targeting a business or technical audience within the cloud space.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until June 29, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
