The Brook - KMI is a 98-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors.

Our specialized treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, pastoral counselors and activity therapists.

You have an exciting opportunity to join The Brook Hosptial KMI team as an Full-Time (32 hour/week) Insurance Precertification Specialist

Position details:

• The Insurance Certification Specialist is responsible for contacting insurance companies and government benefit authorities to obtain pre certification for treatment services.
• Responsibilities also include working in systems to show authorized days for treatment.
• These functions include collaboration with Intake, Business Office, and Outpatient services, and may require attendance in meetings to report on and facilitate business operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year of related experience in a medical setting.
• Needs to have a general knowledge of inpatient services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field is required.
