Job Description

Pay: $16/hour

Work Schedule: Full-Time; Monday - Friday; Must be flexible as shifts are scheduled depending on move schedules; evenings and weekends are possible

This full-time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate, Senior Move will assist transitioning seniors and/or their families to comfortably, efficiently, and lovingly move into the next stage of their lives. The Associate will help the transitioning seniors review and organize their possessions to provide a basis for decisions on what items will be moving with them. The Senior Move Associate will be interacting with clients during what could be a very sensitive time and must be able to empathize with transitioning seniors as well as provide a stable and calming presence. The Senior Move Associate will also perform other duties to support the Innovations team including sorting, logging, and delivering inventory to the Retail Centers. The Associate will also provide support to the E-Commerce warehouse as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Innovation/TFNG:



  • The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively and interact cooperatively with clients, family members and other team members while maintaining a professional manner and appearance.
  • Provides excellent Customer Service while answering customers' questions and concerns.
  • Carefully packs/unpacks items that have been selected for moving using the methods described during training.
  • Organize and set up all the clients' possessions in the new home to ensure the most comfortable transition possible.
  • Assist with arrangements for items that will not be moving to the client's new home.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment needed for each job are collected and transported to the job site.
  • Ensure new and purchased goods are protected, properly sorted, loaded, unloaded, and transported in accordance with company policies.
  • Accept donated goods, varying from small items to large heavy items.
  • Ensures that every donated item is handled with care to show respect to the donor and for the item.
  • Sorts donations/product into department production areas.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


E-Commerce:



  • This will be a cross-training position within the E-Commerce warehouse duties may include:
  • Prepacking - processes daily packing slips as needed.
  • Picking/shelving - identify and pull items for daily shipping utilizing an automated computer system.
  • Shipping - Accurately packages all items for shipping, ensuring correct boxes are made and available for use as needed. Accurately label packages to be shipped.
  • Listing - lists and prices product onto our E-Commerce platforms, ensuring accurate pricing, descriptions, attributes, and professional listening by checking spelling and using good grammar.
  • Photography - photographs quality, high-end donated items ensuring quality photos that include sets/groupings, object design, identifiably markings, blemishes/wear and tears, and other product detail.
  • Adheres to and implements Goodwill and department policies and procedures, the Employee Handbook, and safety standards.
  • Hours and schedule within E-Commerce warehouse will vary based on hours/support needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:



  • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Experience:



  • Previous experience with assisting seniors is a plus.
  • Previous experience professionally, packing, moving, and organizing is a plus.


Other:



  • It is preferred that the incumbent have the ability to calmly and lovingly empathize with transitioning seniors.
  • Must be versatile as this position will require the ability to adapt to changing responsibilities in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Able to stand for 8 hours at a time.
  • Able to bend, twist, lean forward and sideways.
  • Able to lift approximately 20-50 lbs., i.e. wardrobe boxes, crates, etc.
  • Able to use a two-wheel dolly.
  • The incumbent will be required and must have the ability to drive for company business* or the ability to acquire a driver's license within 30 days of employment.


*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least:



  • 19 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
  • 25 - 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services,
  • 21 years of age for CDL.


Applicants/employee will be required to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; applicants/employees must disclose all moving traffic violations or vehicle crashes (within the last five (5) years)(Note: not all violations are a disqualification for employment and each case will be reviewed by the insurance carrier); must have valid Colorado State driver license; must also be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing vehicle operation.

Applicants/employees using their personal vehicle for company business (receiving company mileage reimbursement), must have valid vehicle insurance, valid driver license, and vehicle must be in roadworthy condition.
