Job Posting: Manager, Compliance and Ethics/Investigations The Compliance and Ethics/Investigations Manager will be responsible for addressing allegations related to violations of Kontoor's Code of Conduct and other policies as well as compliance-related issues. The Compliance and Ethics/Investigations Manager will be responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of unethical behavior, misconduct, and regulatory violations and managing cases reported to Kontoor's Ethics Helpline. This role will require a comprehensive understanding of global ethical standards, attention to detail and analytical skills. The ideal Ethics and Compliance/Investigations Manager will also have experience in third-party screening and due diligence. The Compliance and Ethics/Investigations Manager will report to the Director of Compliance. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement process improvements for Global Ethics and Compliance program based on Helpline case metrics and other external benchmark data. Manage Global Ethics Helpline in collaboration with Director of Compliance. Prepare regular briefings and reports for the Director of Compliance and Compliance team related to Kontoor's Ethics Helpline. Function as global lead investigator as to Code of Conduct violations. Provide training and support to employees on ethical practices and standards.
- Consult with Legal team, Human Resources and key leaders, about applicable local laws potentially impacting ethics related cases. Assist in developing policies and procedures to prevent unethical behavior and misconduct.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Director and Associate General Counsel - Litigation, Employment and Compliance to ensure proper handling of investigations. Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints and reports of unethical behavior or misconduct. Review and analyze evidence, including documents, records, and interviews in an unbiased manner. Prepare detailed investigative reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for corrective preventative actions. Work with and train global stakeholders and identified investigators on conducting investigations and the investigative process.
- Support Legal and HR with remediation actions related to internal investigations, and ensure findings are appropriately documented. Maintain confidentiality and integrity throughout the investigation process. Develop and implement investigation protocols and procedures. Work with and train global stakeholders and identified investigators on conducting investigations and the investigative process.
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Assist with Kontoor's third-party due diligence screening program, including conducting pre-screenings, monitoring daily screening feeds and reviewing screening results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and experience in HR related or legal field or equivalent. Minimum of 7 plus years of experience in investigations, compliance, third-party risk management or related field.
- Certification in ethics and compliance (e.g., CCEP, CFE) is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent social, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with third party due diligence. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality and independence.
- Familiarity with global legal and regulatory frameworks related to ethics and compliance, including experience in OFAC, antitrust, anti-corruption, and conflicts compliance.
- Ability to work independently with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. Proficiency in investigative techniques and methodologies. Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well with a team as well as other business units.
