IT Infrastructure Technician Pay Grade: 920 Location: Central Office Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Office Environment WC 8810 Brief Description The primary purpose of this position is to support and maintain the IT infrastructure for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). Primary responsibilities include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure, security systems, and audiovisual equipment. The IT Infrastructure Technician will work closely with internal teams to ensure network reliability, security, and performance. This role also plays a critical part in supporting the BRA Security Division by maintaining and troubleshooting technical security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection, and emergency communication systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that security-related IT systems remain operational, responding to technical issues, and assisting with upgrades and enhancements to BRA's security technology. Additional duties include maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with escalated helpdesk issues, and collaborating on projects that enhance IT infrastructure, and other duties as assigned.
