Job Duties |
The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with strong expertise in medical-surgical nursing. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating primarily face-to-face theory, lab, and clinical courses. This faculty position will be accountable for teaching courses such as advanced medical-surgical nursing, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology for pre-licensure nursing students. The position may also involve the direct supervision of students in clinical and lab settings. This position is 12-month, fixed-term.

Minimum Education/Experience |
Master's degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. Two years of medical-surgical nursing experience is required. |

A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. |
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
A PhD in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing.
Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing.
Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (
CNE) is preferred. |
