Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and well-organized Part-Time Food Services member to join our team at the Callier Child Development Program. This role is essential in supporting daily meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks, upholding high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience

.High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 1-5 years of experience in food service, preferably in a childcare or school setting
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and basic computer/data entry skills preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Flexible and open to cross-training in all areas of food service operations
  • Committed to providing exceptional customer service with a positive and respectful attitude

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals/snacks for children.
  • Follow dietary guidelines and allergy restrictions.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, dishes, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food storage and labeling.
  • Assist with inventory and supply management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, designee or Director

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, squat, climb, stretch, twist, turn, push/pull, and reach as needed throughout the day
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds

  • Skilled at multitasking in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Maintain patience and professionalism when interacting with children, families, and colleagues
  • Demonstrate consistent mental alertness, emotional stability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Adaptable and resilient in handling the physical and emotional demands of a childcare setting
