That's where you come in. We're looking for someone in a full-time position who leads the development and implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions across multiple projects. You will architect, build, and test AEM features, guide a team of developers, and work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. This role combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, including ensuring coding standards, participating in Agile processes, and supporting junior team members. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in AEM, Java, JavaScript, and Agile project delivery, and excels at technical problem-solving and team collaboration.

This role may be fully remote or involve a flexible hybrid work model that accommodates virtual and in-office collaboration.

Here's the role:

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the development workstream of medium-scale or multiple smaller projects.
  • Architect, develop, and test features in AEM.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, architect software solutions, and lead a development team through the entire project life cycle.
  • Participate in project-level discussions and solutioning sessions with clients.
  • Actively participate in an interdepartmental and collaborative Agile team.
  • Anticipate and solve complex technical project issues, including those outside the core skill set.
  • Oversee compliance with project timelines and deliverable standards.
  • Help the team create and maintain development tasks for the current Agile sprint.
  • Supports adherence to coding standards, conducts code reviews and quality assurance audits, and ensures the overall efficiency and cohesion of the development team.
  • Work with customers and partners on technical project details.
  • Support junior developers on their project tasks.
  • Ensure that the application security and privacy policies of Reingold and its customers are followed.
  • Support hiring initiatives.

This role is a good fit for someone with these qualifications, experience and skills:

Required Qualifications:
  • DOS Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience developing in AEM and/or AEM as a Cloud Service utilizing HTL, and Apache Sling Java Models.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Apache Sling, Apache Felix, JCR, and other AEM technologies.
  • Strong background in Java J2EE and OSGI development.
  • Strong background in Javascript (ES6 preferred).
  • Ability to both architect and help in development of solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AEM Edge Delivery Services.
  • Experience with Git and code review processes.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Willingness to share thoughts, ask questions, and participate in meetings.
  • Ability to work in a services industry, often on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work in multiple roles depending on the project.
  • Experience with using AI tools in day to day development.
  • Experience with: Continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins or Bitbucket Pipelines; Agile approaches, such as Scrum or Kanban; Linux and Apache web servers; Cloud hosting systems, such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may supervise one or more employees.

Work environment and physical requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
