Job Overview
Collaborate with global IT and business leadership to design and implement infrastructure services and strategy across all Komatsu global entities and partners.
Manage ongoing enterprise architecture governance structure on basis of business and IT strategies.
Subject matter expert that has global accountability for the architecture and design of Microsoft related systems, including Active Directory, Windows Servers, and Azure.
Lead, operate and continuously improve the environment distributed across the globe
Design and maintain the Azure enterprise architecture for Komatsu group companies - including global sites, multiple business, thousands of users, multiple domains, and Federated Services.
Architect and lead deployment of new releases of Azure technologies - plan and execute cloud migrations.
The scope of this role includes all Komatsu business units globally and will act as liaison for Komatsu North America and the Global Mining Business with groups like KCC, KEISA, KSA, KAL and KLTD.
Accountable for all Microsoft technology architecture and design, patching, management of Microsoft Azure, and design and maintenance of supporting systems Scope This role will recommend and manage the architecture of nearly $24M annually.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Support integration and authentication projects for eBusiness, 3rd party vended solutions, SSO, cloud hosting.
- Plan and design Group Policy Objects as requested to ensure compliance of company policies for servers and user end-point devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory, GPO, Kerberos, Active Directory Federated Services, Forefront Identity Manager password management systems.
- Assist in management and support of internal and external DNS systems. Assist in management and support of internal DHCP architecture and scoping.
- Assist in any disaster recovery planning, practice, or events.
- Work with stakeholders, fellow architects, and technical teams to collect business and technical requirements and deliver enterprise level Microsoft solutions.
- Provide on-call (rotational) technical support for above mentioned responsibilities.
- Create and update all technical documentation of all operating procedures as needed.
- Maintain standards for installation of infrastructure software / hardware installations.
- Provide advanced problem solving skills for problems/questions associated with hardware /software.
- Make technically difficult decisions dealing with mission critical platforms, realizing that errors in judgment or poor performance can have significant impact on business functions and expenses.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field
- 10+ years of progressive IT work experience with some in infrastructure related roles
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems to include Server 2003 - 2012 and Windows XP - 8.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft's Azure
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft's DNS and DHCP services required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft's Group Policy services required.
- Strong knowledge of scripting and PowerShell use to support thousands of servers.
- Working knowledge of LAN and WAN topology.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) and Forefront Identity Manager (FIM).
- Working Knowledge of Virtualization - VMWare and HyperV hypervisors, preferred
- Working Knowledge of SAN and NAS systems preferred.
- Understanding of Windows Clustering and Network Load Balancing is beneficial.
- Understanding of interdependence of enterprise applications (SharePoint, Web-based systems, ERP systems, Exchange, etc.) and Active Directory.
- MCSE or MCITP or related certifications are a bonus.
- Ability to juggle competing tasks and quickly adapt as business needs are shifted
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
- Ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to effectively communicate technical processes and concepts to non-technical user groups
