Why This Role Matters The Student Engagement Coordinator is the face of UKFCU on campus, creating connections and delivering meaningful interactions with students, faculty, and staff at the University of Kentucky and other educational partners. This role is essential in promoting financial education, brand awareness, and long-term membership growth through events, presentations, and personalized engagement. Your efforts will directly support the credit union's mission and help UKFCU remain a trusted partner in the academic community. What You'll Do Event Coordination & Engagement
- Identify and coordinate events that offer high-value engagement opportunities, including K-Week, Student Orientations, and student group collaborations.
- Set up and manage UKFCU-branded booths, creating a visually compelling and welcoming space at each event.
- Represent UKFCU at both internal and external events, ensuring a positive and informative experience for all attendees.
Campus Brand Ambassador
- Promote the UKFCU brand on campus through enthusiastic and professional representation.
- Answer questions related to membership eligibility, accounts, and services.
- Facilitate new member signups and ensure UK students and staff associate UKFCU with approachable, helpful financial services.
Relationship Building
- Identify key stakeholders and connect them with the Business Development Specialist for deeper relationship-building opportunities (e.g., Lunch & Learns, seminars).
- Conduct high-level needs assessments and refer students or staff to Financial Representatives for further assistance and support.
Financial Education Delivery
- Create and deliver tailored financial education presentations to student groups.
- Ensure all educational materials are aligned with UKFCU brand guidelines and maintain high quality and relevance for diverse audiences.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with the Business Development Team to identify new opportunities for outreach and event participation.
- Maintain open communication to coordinate schedules, support referrals, and ensure proper event coverage and planning.
Reporting & Analytics
- Track and report on event attendance, member interactions, feedback, and outcomes.
- Provide monthly reports to the Business Development Manager and Marketing team for performance review and strategy adjustments.
Professional Development
- Stay informed on trends in marketing, event coordination, and student engagement.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve personal skills and the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
Qualifications
Who You Are Experience & Education
- Associate's degree required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing, event planning, or business development preferred.
- Prior experience working with students or in a university environment is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for event support.
