You will report to the GVP of Finance and Business Management in East Aurora, New York. Supervisory Responsibilities - Oversee the operations of the Group Accounting & Finance function, which include financial analysts, pricing manager, and site finance operations in our global locations.
Your Responsibilities may include...
Review of group financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for reporting purposes. Responsible for group accounting policies and policy adherence at all CAG locations. Responsible for the quality of group financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. Design and implement finance & accounting process improvements to enable better transparency around financial information for all parts of the business, focusing on sales, operating margin, and working capital. Be a key member of the CAG finance leadership team and contribute to strategy development, policies and decision making beyond finance issues. Understand the strategic business objectives and contribute to the creation, execution and ongoing development and delivery of strategy. Work closely with CAG finance leadership team and CAG business leaders to develop and iterate commercial business models to help ensure long term sustainable growth and proper upfront investment allocation. Ensure leadership has actionable information regarding all aspects of its respective function as reflected in the financial/business data. This includes identifying, analyzing, extrapolating and explaining trends, clearly articulating and visualizing the story behind the data; devising appropriate options for action; and making a recommendation on the best course of action to conduct a financial review for significant business opportunities - as an example when revenue and risk are substantial. Deliver financial reporting & cost control - back to the organization and tailored views/metrics for business lanes based on level of maturity. Support costing, pricing, quotes, and negotiations as applicable. Proactively identify, define, and implement appropriate finance strategies to enable the business to increase performance. Ensure general ledger accounts are kept and reported consistent with Moog policies. Ensure internal controls for financial reporting are documented and followed. Leadership and support on key finance and business priorities. Manage, recruit, and develop direct report(s). We are looking for someone who is focused on achieving performance and results through the managing of people and teams by setting expectations, holding the team accountable, while displaying all aspects that define the Moog Culture of direct communication, mutual trust, and respect. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for audits. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
To be considered for a Group Controller here's what you'll need to bring with you:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or operations. Similar industry preferred. Minimum two (2) years in a management/leadership role. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Experience with ASC 606, preferably in the manufacturing and/or aerospace industry. Knowledge of ERP business systems, internal controls, and US-GAAP. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel. Proficient financial modeling capabilities Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to travel - domestic and international.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) SAP experience OneStream system experience 4+ years of public accounting experience (preferably Big 4) Manufacturing and/or aerospace industry experience

#LI-MB Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $170,000.00-$210,000.00 Annually
