See what it's like to work at GROWMARK:https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Responsible for evaluating, designing, and optimizing business processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality across the Energy Business Process department. Analyzes and supports the performance and control of key customer billing and vendor invoice payment processes for the GROWMARK Energy division in the US and Ontario. Maintains SAP fuel processing database and responds to complex billing and customer requests. Performs key compliance and control activities involved in the purchase and sale of GROWMARK's refined fuel and propane product lines. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Analyzes ERP data management needs related to fuel products to ensure control and automation of electronic bill of lading (eBOL) process and maintains data records to optimize automated customer invoicing. Works with customers, vendors, carriers, and appropriate personnel within other departments to resolve complex errors. Assists in the management of ongoing business process design and improvement efforts. Identifies and analyzes opportunities for optimizing business performance by aligning and integrating information technology and business processes. Provides support to customer billing and vendor payment processing functions during times of peak volume and as business needs require. Researches, supports and coordinates with departments outside of business process to solve complex issues related to customer billings, vendor payments, tax application and accounting entries. Reviews and performs reconciliations and data control reporting for electronic data providers and takes appropriate action to correct errors by working with Energy, Logistics, Dispatch, Vendors, Product Accounting, and Tax departments. Collaborates with appropriate personnel within Controllers, Energy, IT, Logistics, suppliers, customers, and third-party providers to identify gaps, and develop and implement changes to processes affecting order entry, customer invoicing, supplier payments, and customer and supplier contracting programs. Analyzes reporting needs to monitor process and ERP system performance. Develops and monitors KPI dashboards for daily review and takes appropriate action to ensure performance issues are resolved in a timely manner. Maintains knowledge of SAP functionality and information available and uses specialized query software to identify the causes of problems, and evaluate related process design, making recommendations for and supporting process reengineering efforts. Supports testing of system or process changes to ensure effective implementation. Provides leadership to Energy Processing personnel as needed for testing and training on changes to the customer invoicing, reconciliation processes, and related system updates and maintenance. Provides backup for the Supervisor, Process & Data- Energy in their absence. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Helps develop and maintain reports used for billing, reconciliation and metrics within the department. Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business, or the equivalent thereof, and prefer two years or more of business analysis, finance, or accounting-related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of business and financial analysis expertise. Ability to earn an advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA/CMA/CFP&A) to demonstrate an advanced knowledge of business and data analysis. Understanding and experience with billing, invoicing, internal controls, query design and development using Business Objects, report generation, account reconciliation, accounting systems, order fulfillment, and other control functions, along with analysis and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development. Proven "attention to detail" skills. Ability to work hours other than those considered "normal". Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
