Position Summary: The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This professional serves as a trusted partner to business units, aligning analytics initiatives with organizational goals and delivering high-impact data solutions. With deep expertise in Power BI and data modeling, the Senior BI Analyst will design and maintain scalable reporting frameworks, manage a dynamic analytics request pipeline, and mentor junior team members. This professional is a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and collaborative problem-solver with a passion for leveraging data to create business value.

Essential Functions:



  • Build strong relationships with business unit leaders to understand their strategic objectives and align data and analytics initiatives to support those goals.
  • Partner with Data Engineers to design, develop, and maintain scalable semantic models in Power BI / Microsoft Fabric that support reusable and consistent reporting across the organization.
  • Monitor the usage and performance of BI solutions, proactively addressing stakeholder feedback and resolving issues to ensure continued value delivery.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of analytics requests within designated business domains, from intake through delivery, ensuring alignment with priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop compelling, user-friendly dashboards, reports, and apps in Power BI that clearly communicate insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Data Insights Manager and BI team to define and promote reporting standards, governance, and best practices across the organization.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Adhere to all applicable bank policies, laws, and regulations. Complete required compliance training and report any potential violations in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant analytical field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analysis, with a strong track record of delivering impactful analytics solutions.
  • Expert level proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Qlik, or MicroStrategy.
  • Strong dimensional modeling and data architecture skills.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI External Tools (Tabular Editor 3, DAX Studio, DAX Optimizer, etc.) is preferred.

Working Environment:

Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
