Project Overview

Our client is partnering with Northrop Grumman to deliver the Sentinel Program, focusing on modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad. Our scope of work includes the ground infrastructure component, leveraging decades of experience in engineering and construction to support mission delivery securely and effectively.


Job Summary

In this role, you will be involved in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil/structural components and processes. Your work will include preparing construction drawings, project schedules, models, calculations, material requisitions, and technical studies. You will collaborate with other engineers and technical disciplines to ensure designs meet project requirements.


Major Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and evaluation of civil/structural components.
  • Prepare construction drawings, schedules, and material requisitions.
  • Check manufacturers' drawings for compliance with specifications.
  • Design minor structures and portions of buildings.
  • Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines.
  • Assist in constructability reviews.


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Level I: University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Level II: Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other common computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318, IBC, and ASCE 7.
  • Experience with structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL or STAAD.Pro.
  • Possess active security clearance.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the USA.
  • Master's degree in Structural or related Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Tekla software and government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
