Description
Temple University's Endocrinology Department is searching for a Part-Time Research Project Associate. Hourly Rate $18.00 per hour Grant-funded position The Research Analyst will work under the Director, CRORA and Dr. Rubin in the Department of Medicine/Endocrinology on an NIH-funded study of hospital readmissions of people with diabetes. The incumbent will assist the Principal Investigator on data analysis and summarizing the results of the trial and participate in preparing the study results for publication. Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in life science or related health related field * A minimum of six (6) months of experience * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities *Ability to operate all standard office equipment/software including MS office and MS Excel. *Ability to work independently or as a team with attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines. Additional Miscellaneous Examples Essential duties * Prepare the database for data analysis * Perform statistical analyses under the supervision of the Principal Investigator * Attend meetings with the Principal Investigator and project team * Provide preliminary results in tables * Participate in manuscript preparation * Programming and scripting with tools such as Python and Bash scripts * Fluency with advanced machine learning techniques such as deep learning with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras. * Use software for data analysis and manipulation such as pandas and NumPy as well as development environments like Jupyter Notebook. * Practice version control and collaboration using Git. * Data visualization with tools like matplotlib, seaborn, and Plotly.
