$20,000 Sign-on Bonus
Full-Time Benefit Eligible
Department: Medical Surgical - Schedule: 3-12 Hour Shifts from 7:00p.m. - 7:30a.m.; every other weekend and holiday - Hospital: Henry Ford Macomb - Location: Warren, MI

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.| Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.| Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.| Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. RN Lactation Consultant: IBCLC certification must be acquired within 12 months of hire & maintained. One to two (1-2) years as a Lactation Consultant/Specialist preferred. NOTE: See attached job description for PICC Responsibilities.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:



  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. No additional preferences.
