Job Description:
Inventory Specialist:
- This role requires a strong background in inventory management, property control procedures, and administrative procedures.
- You will support aircraft maintenance with parts, materials, and services for normal activities including may include after hours and AOG events.
- You will be responsible for inventory control, restock inventory / supplies and performing inventory cycle counts.
- You will Proactively manage all inventories, parts and materials.
- Consistently drive accuracy and productivity goals by utilizing analytical management tools to monitor performance.
- Responsible for identifying parts locations, loading and organizing assets into databases, management of parts issues, receipts, turn-ins, and methods of shipment.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of inventory and property control procedures.
- Read, interpret, and comply with detailed administrative procedures, instructions, regulations, and applicable publications.
- Prepare all assigned mechanically produced reports.
- Perform computer input functions as required in the performance of their duties.
- Tracks, inspects, traces, and oversees over parts and material inventory, many of which require traceability by serial number, and confirmation of certificates of conformance/documentation.
- Assures accuracy of installed components by serial number to aircraft to meet federal airworthiness requirements.
- Processes component and core returns with applicable forms to protect the value of the assets and secure the aviation supply chain.
- Provides quality control by inspecting purchased parts to identify Suspected Unapproved Parts or non-conformity issues.
- Maintains appropriate traceability documentation on all parts in inventory, including life-limited part core marking as required by US Government and/or Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Provides reports and analysis on inventory levels, costs, and discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and resolving problems and inefficiencies within part and material inventory.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years documented hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance facility and aviation supply procedures, including aircraft parts and inventory.
- 2 years Inventory Management Experience.
- Forklift experience, a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation.
- Have or have the ability to receive a Secret Security Clearance
