About the role Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for aParalegal to work closely with the Minerals legal team in supporting the Minerals product group in delivering its strategy. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, collaborative, performance driven individual who is keen to work in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, Minerals and working in a challenging and exciting environment, within the legal department, you will be:
Gathering information relative to legal issues, providing assistance to the Minerals legal team Preparing summaries of findings for senior legal colleagues, including analysis of key issues Undertaking basic legal work under close supervision, including the preparation of legal documents Researching statutes, regulations and court decisions impacting the organisation. Preparing materials for Minerals legal team, including presentations, memoranda and charts
What you'll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Experience in non-OECD jurisdictions and dealings with complex Government and multi-stakeholder issues Experience supporting the legal support for complex negotiations and transactions Strong corporate/commercial experience, including exposure to complex contracts, disputes, M&A and joint venture structuring and on-going management Exceptional organisational skills and ability to integrate in cross functional teams to support on the delivery of new commercial models and partnerships Strong cross-cultural awareness and ability to quickly adapt to the situation and have a flexible style for an appropriate audience amidst uncertainty and competing interests Ability to work seamlessly across organisational and geographic boundaries in pursuit of broader corporate goals Experience with leveraging artificial intelligence to deliver outstanding legal support and a curiosity for broader AI applications
