Morton Post-Frame Supply Group ("MPFS", or "Group") is a recently formed and quickly growing division of Morton Buildings, comprised of nine component manufacturing businesses acquired since 2017. All businesses operate within and around the post-frame industry where Morton can leverage its industry-leading brand recognition and strong capital position to pursue profitable growth through strategic acquisitions.

The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee the financial reporting function of the MPFS Group which includes the preparation and presentation of the company's monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The position is responsible for the continued development of budgeting, forecasting and other financial modeling tools. The position must possess a strong knowledge in corporate finance and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Essential Functions



  • Collaborates with local management at individual business units and Morton Buildings corporate support functions (Accounting / HR / etc.) to ensure completion of monthly and annual close of the accounting books in a timely and accurate fashion, including consolidation of individual business unit financial statements into Group financial statements
  • Delivers detailed P&L analysis & key insights on overall profitability of individual business units
  • Collaborates with local management at individual business units to produce and effectively present comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages for the board, executives, and various management groups providing a clear and comprehensive view of individual business unit financial performance
  • Plays an integral role in all forecasting and budgeting for the individual businesses within the MPFS Group, including creation and maintenance of complex financial models to support such activities
  • Formulates and maintains tracking tools and dashboards to report on other operational KPIs
  • Collaborates with local and Group management to develop financial analysis supporting business cases for strategic capital investment
  • Supports continued M&A activity, including Quality-of-Earnings analysis and other related due diligence for future acquisition targets
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with external auditors regarding annual audit and other technical accounting matters related to MPFS Group
  • Other duties as assigned



Required Education, Experience, and Skills



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of five years of related experience, with a strong background in GAAP and financial reporting
  • Expert level understanding of Microsoft Excel required
  • Proficiency in Power BI preferred
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives on taking ownership with limited oversight, has a continuous improvement mindset, and a strong work ethic
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with all organization levels
