G enesis10 is currently seeking
a Senior Application Security Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: * Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Engineering * Develop long-term strategic solutions by evaluating complex challenges across various application security domains * Provide thought leadership to senior client personnel on engineering solutions focused on proactive and preventative security * Lead the implementation of application security controls and capabilities into CI/CD pipelines * Serve as an SME across application security disciplines including code analysis, DevSecOps, supply chain security, and emerging areas such as AI security * Drive the evolution of Application Security as a discipline across agile and modern development frameworks Required Qualifications: * 7+ years of Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military experience, or education * 10+ years of experience identifying security issues and developing mitigation strategies * Deep hands-on expertise in at least two of the following areas: network security, embedded or hardware security, cryptography, web and network protocols, data structures and algorithms, software development, threat modeling, pen testing, or vulnerability assessments * 7+ years of development experience in more than one language with strong preference for Java, C#, or .NET Core * 5+ years of secure code review experience, including automated and manual reviews using tools such as Checkmarx, Fortify, Semgrep * 5+ years of experience in secure DevOps, deployment automation, and CI/CD integration * Experience in Software Composition Analysis, container security, and supply chain risk management * Proficiency with Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) * Exposure to Artificial Intelligence security, with emphasis on Machine Learning and Generative AI * Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development environments * Hands-on experience with cloud security (GCP and Azure) * Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CSSLP, CASP+, CASE, GSEC * Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices * Experience defining and documenting security requirements for enterprise software systems Pay Range: $ 86 - 96 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
